JIM THORPE – Flames damaged a restaurant early Thursday morning in Jim Thorpe.
The fire started around 2 a.m. at the Stone Row Eatery on Race Street.
The popular restaurant is seriously damaged.
"It was pretty devastating. I mean you never know how bad it is until you see it," said Kacie Klotz of Jim Thorpe.
Klotz's car was parked in front of the eatery when the fire happened. Glass from the restaurant windows fell on it.
Klotz is far less concerned about her car, and more concerned about the owners who she says pour their heart and soul into this business.
"As a business owner, they are the people I look up to on how to run a business and what goes into it. Hopefully the community can pull together and help them out," added Klotz.
The restaurant opened about two years ago. The same day that the fire happened was traditionally the busiest. It would've been "open mic night." Many are hoping the owners can pick up the pieces, rebuild, and reopen.
The owners of the restaurant were asleep in an apartment above and made it out safely.
Authorities believe the fire was started accidentally, but are not sure yet what exactly caused it and will continue to investigate.
