WILKES-BARRE --- The Luzerne County District Attorney confirms homicide suspect Joshua Ovalles was taken into police custody Thursday evening.
Ovalles is a suspect in a deadly shooting on Sunday in Wilkes-Barre on Grant Street.
That shooting left Vaughn Kemp, 24, dead after investigators say Ovalles got into an argument with the victim.
Court papers show Ovalles was arrested and is currently facing charges for an attempted homicide in January.
Wilkes-Barre Police say Ovalles will be taken to the Luzerne County Prison for an arraignment overnight.
This is the sixth homicide in Wilkes-Barre city this year.
