Monroe County Woman Accused of Stealing, Forging Hundreds of Dollars in Checks

PRICE TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A woman in Monroe County is accused of stealing and forging hundreds of dollars in checks.

Police say Jennifer Amella of East Stroudsburg wrote $1,500 in bad checks from an account belonging to her grandmother.

According to investigators, Amella was a caregiver for her grandmother and had been named power of attorney, but was writing the checks for her personal use.
