SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- One man is dead following a crash Monday afternoon in Lackawanna County.
The wreck happened around 1:30 p.m. on Interstate 81 north in Scott Township, about one mile north of the Scott exit (199). According to PennDOT, both lanes are back open.
Hiroito Oshiro Yengle of Scranton was standing next to his vehicle on the left shoulder of I-81 after it spun out due to weather conditions.
A tractor trailer then struck his vehicle, causing it to hit Yengle, resulting in a fatal injury.
The passenger of Yengle's vehicle and the passenger of the tractor trailer were also injured in the crash in Lackawanna County.
