HAZLETON, Pa. -- A frightful forecast for Halloween has some places around here making a switch that could affect your trick or treaters.
Many communities have postponed their festivities due to the soggy forecast.
Mayor Jeff Cusat of Hazleton took to social media saying the city would be holding off on celebrating until Friday.
Other communities moved their celebrations to Wednesday.
Some parents say it's disappointing for their kids.
"It kind of sucks, the kids were excited about having Halloween and now they have to go and wait another day. So it's going to kind of bum them out," said Trixie Soja of Carbondale.
While some admit they're disappointed that Halloween has been postponed for another day downtown, others say they're just going to make the best of it.
"I think it's a good idea. I think that you don't have to worry about the kids getting sick. Hopefully, the whole town will do it, not just the businesses," said Becky Galaydick of Carbondale.
Trick-or-treaters are not the only ones ready to celebrate.
Barbour's Bakery has plenty of treats to help celebrate Halloween even if it means celebrating on November 1st.
"I'm all ready for it. I'm ready for it tomorrow, I'm ready for it today, so, another day. It is disappointing but old man weather, what can you do about it," said Janet Price of Barbour's Bakery.
