Football Team Forfeits Playoff Game Due Too Many Injured Players

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. -- The Bloomsburg Area football team is forfeiting their playoff game this week.

District officials made the announcement on Tuesday.

They say they only have 17 healthy players left, and it's in the students' best interest not to play against Mount Carmel Friday.

    High school football is in the process of dying. Parents are reluctant to have their kids participate because of what we now know about the long term effects of concussions.
