The #1 way to prevent retail theft is an employee asking the “customer” if they need help. And then checking back in with that “customer” every couple of minutes. In other words, letting the “customer” know someone is watching them. Why isn’t the manager of this store teaching their employees this simple, easy task?

The Associated Press reported last Tuesday that employees of a Victoria’s Secret in New Hampshire told police that “$6,514 worth of undergarments were stolen.” … That’s because Victoria’s Secret has a strict policy where its employees are instructed not to accuse, approach, discuss, or point out shoplifters in any way.Oct 30, 2018
