Route 29 Back Open After Fatal Crash

WYOMING COUNTY, Pa. — A road is back open tonight after a deadly crash in Wyoming County.

Two vehicles collided around 3:00 Friday afternoon along Route 29 in Eaton Township.

State police say a vehicle crossed the center line and hit another head-on.

That driver, 66-year-old Leland Cook of Tunkhannock was killed.

The other driver was rushed to the hospital. Troopers say Cook was not wearing a seat belt.

Route 29 was closed for about five hours after the crash near Tunkhannock.
