SCRANTON, Pa. -- Support animals were blessed on Friday in Scranton.
Father Walsh lead the blessing at Saint Francis Commons, a transitional housing facility for homeless veterans.
Veterans living there are able to have support animals through the curative companions program.
The pet blessing was in celebration of the feast of Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment.
