West Scranton H.S. Dismisses Early Due to Threat

SCRANTON, Pa. -- Students were sent home Thursday morning after a threat was made against West Scranton High School.

School officials have not released any details about the nature of the threat or the specific target.

The threat comes one day after classes were canceled in the Dunmore School District after a bomb threat was made late Tuesday afternoon.

School officials said the all-clear was given after noon and school will resume on Friday.

When we were in HS, there were bomb threats all the time. The school would treat them like fire alarms. You left, went across the street and waited until the dogs came and they cleared the school. After the all clear it was business as usual. I know technology is different now. But something has to give. Not complaining, just saying boy have the times changed!
