TUNKHANNOCK TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Flames destroyed a vacant house in the Poconos Tuesday afternoon.
The fire broke out around 1:30 p.m. on Kuhenbeaker Road in Tunkhannock Township, near Long Pond.
A firefighter had to be treated for heat exhaustion after battling flames.
Officials believe the place had been vacant since January when the man who lived there was arrested in a police standoff.
A fire marshal is investigating the cause in Monroe County.
