Nuclear Plant Siren Test Scheduled in Luzerne County

SALEM TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The nuclear power plant in Luzerne County is planning its annual siren test.

The Susquehanna Steam Electric Station near Berwick plans to test its sirens Thursday, August 15.

The test is scheduled for around 11 a.m.

According to officials, the sirens will sound for about three minutes.
