POCONO TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Police say a woman tried to run over her boyfriend at a gas station in the Poconos and almost hit at least two other people and a gas pump.
Police say Khadijah Jackson, 19, of Tobyhanna got into an argument with her boyfriend around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday at an Exxon station on Route 611 in Swiftwater.
Officers say Jackson got into the car and tried to run over her boyfriend. He held up a garbage can to defend himself. The car went over the median, narrowly missing the gas pump. From there, Jackson drove the car towards a crowd of people watching and nearly hit at least two people.
Police Jackson then took off on Route 611. She was later arrested.
Jackson is locked up in the Monroe County jail unable to post bail. She is facing a slew of charges including attempted homicide, attempted aggravated assault, and risking a catastrophe.
