SCRANTON, Pa. -- Christians across northeastern and central Pennsylvania are celebrating the Easter season.
Saint Stanislaus Polish National Church on East Locust Street held its Easter service Sunday in Scranton.
It was the end of the 40-day period of penance called Lent for those who follow the Gregorian calendar.
It's also the day the faithful believe Jesus rose from the dead after being crucified by the Romans.
We do want to make a correction, on earlier editions of Newswatch 16 we identified this church as Steamtown Church on Pittston Avenue. We apologize for the error.
