FOSTER TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A fire destroyed a garage and damaged a home early Monday morning in Luzerne County.
The first alarm along Detweiler Road in Foster Township came in around 6 a.m. Monday.
The fire started in a garage and spread to a home.
The fire chief says the flames had a good start.
"We could see it from the top of the mountain and a second alarm was struck as we saw the column of smoke," said Fearnots Volunteer Fire Chief Michael Spock.
A man and his wife lived there. Both were home when the fire started, and both made it out OK.
No one was hurt, and a state police fire marshal has been called in to help look for the cause of the fire.
