BEAR CREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A man rescued after falling through the ice on a pond in Luzerne County has died.
The coroner says John Phillips, 77, of White Haven died Friday.
Phillips and his dog fell through the ice on a pond near the Frances E. Walter Dam in Bear Creek Township on Thursday. The dog survived.
The coroner has ruled the death an accidental drowning.
