POCONO TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police are conducting an investigation into a shooting at a home in Monroe County.

UPDATE THURSDAY: The Monroe County coroner says Joevandie LaTorre, 41, from Pocono Township, was the man killed in Wednesday's deadly domestic dispute.

Autopsy results showed a single gunshot wound to the left chest.

Authorities say this is still an active investigation.

POCONO TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Police are investigating a deadly shooting at a home in Monroe County.

Detectives in Pocono Township say an engaged couple got into a fight, the man came at the woman with a knife, and the woman ended up shooting the man.

Police say this has been a tough case because there is only one witness: that woman. They have been questioning her all day long and say she has been very emotional.

Police say the shooting happened around 2 p.m. Wednesday on Timberlane Drive in Pocono Township near Tannersville.

Detectives have been questioning the woman all day. They say the woman told them the man threatened her with a knife and she shot him.

No names have been released at this point, but the coroner says a 41-year-old man was found dead inside the home.

Some people were outside when all the commotion started, including two delivery drivers who were making stops in this neighborhood. One of the drivers said he saw a woman yelling on her front porch to help, because she had just shot her husband. Those delivery drivers then called 911.

"We pulled up in front of the house and see how much we could help. She was already on the front porch with a phone in her hand saying, 'I just shot my husband,' so I was dumbfounded and said, 'What?' She was like, 'He was coming at me with a knife, so I shot him. He's bleeding out on the floor. Can you please come into my house?' I told her, 'No, I'm not going into the house,' so I immediately called 911," said John Cassidy of Binghamton, New York.

"We heard a scream of, 'Help, help! I need help!' and we couldn't figure out where it was. A couple houses down, we see a young lady standing with a phone, and she's screaming, 'Help, help! I shot my husband! He is bleeding!'" Robert Giacalone of Binghamton recalled.

The delivery driver says he and his coworker were the ones who called 911. He says it only took minutes before police and the Monroe County coroner showed up at the home.

"You can't fathom this at all. It's just you see it on the news all over the place, but to actually be 100 feet away when it happened, it's pretty bizarre," said Giacalone.

"I am a little shook by it. I've been doing this business 27 years knocking on cold doors. I've had dogs chase me, people yelling at me to get off their property, but never been that close to maybe being shot through a door," said Cassidy.

Police have not said if the woman will face any charges.
