TAMAQUA, Pa. -- Snow, sleet, and freezing rain are in the forecast for Tuesday.

That is not unusual for February.

At M&S hardware in Tamaqua, they are prepared.

"We should be getting some snow and freezing rain and sleet and then back to snow, back and forth like that but we will be here! We open at 7:30," said owner Todd Miller.

Shovels, snow throwers, and ice melt are on display.

"It's the inability to know what's coming, they're saying right now it's coming as snow which is fine, you need shovels, freezing rain, then we're going to be doing ice melt and that type of stuff is more critical," said Paul Kocher of Lehighton.

The owner of M&S said so far, this winter there have not been many storms.

"The winter has been somewhat slow based on weather. Our winter needs are based on weather very much here. We've had a storm or two but we haven't had that consistent storm or that consistent cold," said Miller.

But the storm Tuesday could pack a punch, especially during the morning rush hour.

"You just don't know how to prepare for it so you wait and see what's on the ground!" said Kocher.
