Ice Blamed for Rollover Crash in Wayne County

TEXAS TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A driver is blaming icy conditions for a crash in Wayne County.

A Jeep rolled over coming down Bear Swamp Road outside Honesdale around 8 a.m. Tuesday.

The driver had to be helped out of the vehicle, but she was not hurt.

She told Newswatch 16 she tried to stop but couldn't.

"Down about where that sign is, the rear end just took off on me and I went over, but there was a car behind me and I was really worried about him because it was a little car and I was so afraid he'd smash right into me," said Shirley Zebrowski.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

State police are investigating the wreck.
