SCRANTON, Pa. -- The Lackawanna County district attorney wants to shut down what he calls a "nuisance" bar in Scranton.
Lackawanna County District Attorney Mark Powell filed a petition to shut down Rocky's Lounge on Jefferson Avenue.
He says there have been too many violent incidents outside this place: shootings, stabbings, fights and assaults over the years.
Back in October, police responded to reports of gunfire outside the bar twice in just two weeks.
The owner of the bar says he doesn't believe any of the incidents happened inside the bar.
The district attorney also says the violence is having a negative effect on other local businesses.
