SCRANTON, Pa. -- A longtime magistrate in Lackawanna County has been laid to rest.
A funeral for Judge James Kennedy was held Tuesday morning at St. Paul's Church on Penn Avenue in Scranton.
Kennedy was first elected magistrate back in 1975 and served in the office until his retirement in 2010.
He passed away on Friday at 78 years old.
