TUNKHANNOCK, Pa. -- A substitute teacher is behind bars in Wyoming County after an investigation showed he sent inappropriate pictures and videos to female students.
Zachary Migliori, 31, of Falls Township, is in the Wyoming County Correctional Facility in Tunkhannock.
He's being charged after allegedly sending lewd pictures to several underage female students while serving as a high school substitute teacher in the Tunkhannock Area School District.
According to court documents, he messaged those students on Snapchat and Facebook from September to October of this year, sending nude pictures to several, and on one occasion, fantasized about having rough sex with one victim.
A former student also told police that Migliori sent her videos of him fondling himself and suggested making a pornographic video with her.
"I am from northeastern Pennsylvania and I currently work at as a substitute teacher. My greatest desire for myself in my field is to become a remembered teacher, someone who affects their students positively and 20 years down the road, what they learned in my class has, hopefully, shaped them in a positive way and shaped them into great individuals," Migliori said on his YouTube page.
In a statement, the Tunkhannock Area School District tells Newswatch 16 since being notified of the investigation, it took immediate measures to ensure the safety of its students and will provide any counseling to students who need it.
A spokesperson with the district confirmed Migliori was also a middle school baseball coach. We spoke to a parent whose son played for him. She said this is something she never saw coming.
