ROARING BROOK TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Dive teams were called in to rescue a person from a truck found in Lake Scranton.

The water rescue took place just before 9 a.m. Tuesday.

A 59-year-old man from the Lehigh Valley was pulled from the pickup and taken to the hospital where he died, according to the coroner.

His name has not been released.

A person driving by noticed the pickup in the water and called 911.

The truck went off a Pennsylvania American Water access road.

Emergency crews found a man unconscious behind the wheel. According to police, the man was a contractor for a project on Lake Scranton and was in the water about 15 to 20 minutes.

Investigators tell Newswatch 16 the man suffered a medical condition while driving.
