Fire Destroys Beltway Diner in Hazleton

HAZLETON, Pa. -- The cause of a late-night diner fire is under investigation in Luzerne County.

The Beltway Diner on South Church Street in Hazleton was destroyed.

Firefighters got the call around 10:30 Thursday night.

They say the Beltway Diner had just closed and no one was inside.

When they arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames.

They tried to battle the blaze inside but were then pulled outside for safety.

The roof collapsed.

A state police fire marshal has been called in to investigate the cause of this blaze.

What a coincidence, dinner in wilkes barre burns down and now another one. Catches fire after closing, roof collapses and engulfed in flames. Something fishy here.
