ROARING BROOK TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- It's unclear if the weather is to blame for a deadly crash in Lackawanna County.

State police say Stephen Ryan Kojsza, 40, of Scranton, died in the crash.

Troopers say two vehicles collided around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday on Route 307 near Lake Scranton. The cars were badly mangled.

The coroner says Kojsza lost control of his car and died in the wreck. The other driver was taken to Geisinger-CMC in Scranton with broken bones.

The coroner says the gray car crossed into the wrong lane of traffic and hit the white Toyota Camry.

Troopers and fire officials had the wreck cleared and the road reopened shortly before 10 p.m.

State police are looking into whether heavy rain at the time played a role in the crash.
