LEHMAN TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Several school districts decided to dismiss early Wednesday because of the heat.

That included the Lake Lehman School District in Luzerne County.

Students were dismissed early at Lehman-Jackson Elementary for the second day in a row.

Parents tell Newswatch 16 the elementary school has no air conditioning, and the high school has limited air conditioning.

Some schools let out early because of heat, other schools have football practice in the heat! Priorities first!

I hope none of the students ever have to work outside, in a warehouse, a factory, a mechanic garage, in southern states, or during the summer. Not sure if they’ll be able to do it.

I wish I went to school in this day and age. They get dismissed or closed for everything. School rarely closed or dismissed when I went
