Crews Extinguish Basement Fire in Scranton

SCRANTON, Pa. -- A dozen people were displaced by a fire in Scranton.

Firefighters say heavy smoke was pouring from the basement of an apartment building along North Washington Avenue.

Crews quickly put out the flames.

No one was home at the time, and no one hurt.

The American Red Cross is assisting the 12 people affected by that fire.

Investigators are looking for the cause.
