Go Joe 21 kicked off Monday morning in Quincy, Massachusetts, just outside of Boston.

Meteorologist Joe Snedeker is peddling in the rain as he makes his way to Springfield, Massachusetts Monday evening.

Joe and his entourage arrived in Massachusetts on Sunday.

It was 100 miles of biking for Joe Snedeker the Go Joe 21 started off outside of Boston with Springfield, Massachusetts in mind as the destination for the day.

Heavy rain soaked the streets but that wouldn't stop his journey.

Joe traveled through Quincy, Wellesley, and Oxford on the first leg of his journey.

Along the way, he met with fans from Pennsylvania including Bradford, Northumberland and Lackawanna Counties.

"Woke her up three hours before her wake-up time just to come here," said Northumberland County native Whitney Bellew.

"I have watched him go up hills of Pennsylvania and everything else and when I saw it on there, I was like, 'yeah!' said Scranton native Lorraine Krauss.  "I had a cousin whose daughter was taken to St. Joe's when she was born I am so happy he's doing this for him because there are so many people who need that."

Go Joe 21 raises money for kids and adults with disabilities helped by St. Joseph's Center in Scranton.

This week, Joe expects a lot of wet weather, but that won't stop him from making his to the St. Joseph's Telethon at Marywood University this Friday.
