UPDATE: Power Restored to Thousands in Luzerne County

LUZERNE COUNTY, Pa. — UGI says that power has been restored to thousands of customers who were without power Thursday morning in Luzerne County.

According to a UGI spokesperson, the outage was caused by a loss of a transmission line.

Around 8,000 homes and businesses in the Kingston, Edwardsville, and Forty Fort area were without power, according to UGI’s Outage Map.

And now we can’t use the tap water for 5 days due to an ‘outage’ (I’m assuming this) causing the chlorine levels to drop below minimum standards. Thanks UGI. Do I get to deduct the cost of the bottled water from my bill? Maybe you and Aqua PA should split the cost because they should have had a backup power source.
