JIM THORPE, Pa. -- A new fire tower was lifted into place in Carbon County.

A forest fire specialist took video of the Mauch Chunk Fire Tower going up on Bear Mountain in Jim Thorpe.

It replaces the old tower built in 1957.

Pennsylvania is spending more than $4 million to replace 16 fire towers throughout the state.
