One Dead After Crash in Scranton

SCRANTON -- One person was killed in a crash in Scranton.

Two cars and a parked van were involved in the collision at the intersection of Breck Street and Pittston Avenue.

It happened around 2 a.m. on Friday.

Robert Ortiz, 21, of Scranton was killed, according to the coroner.

Authorities believe one of the cars involved was traveling at a high rate of speed. The posted speed limit on Pittston Avenue is 25 mph.

Scranton police are still looking into what led to the crash.
