Water Main Break Forces University to Delay in Lackawanna County

DUNMORE — A water main break forced a university in Lackawanna County to delay.

Penn State Worthington Scranton campus is on a two-hour delay Tuesday, March 27.

According to Pennsylvania American Water, an 18-inch water main broke on Dunmore Street in Throop.

Crews expect repairs to be made by Tuesday afternoon.

Around 100 homes and businesses are either without water or are experiencing low water pressure.
