Coroner Called to Crash near Ashland

BUTLER TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- The coroner was called to a crash in Schuylkill County Sunday.

State police said a pickup truck hit a parked minivan and a wooden fence on Main Street (Route 54) in Butler Township near Ashland just before 2 p.m.

Troopers said the driver, a 68-year-old man from Pottsville, died at the scene.

His name is not being released until his family is notified.
