Tree Smashes Through Roof of Mining Museum in Lansford

LANSFORD -- A tree fell onto a mining museum in Carbon County.

A 40-feet tree crashed into the roof of the No. 9 Mine and Museum building in Lansford.

Museum officials say no artifacts were damaged, but there is a hole in the roof.

The building is almost 150 years old.

Officials with the museum say they're waiting to hear from their insurance company.
