DELAWARE TOWNSHIP -- Flames gutted a home in Northumberland County.

Firefighters were called to the two-story home on Hester Drive near Watsontown around 6 p.m. Saturday. When crews arrived, the house was engulfed in flames.

The fire chief said neighbors helped the homeowners get out of the house. One person was treated for breathing in smoke but is expected to be OK.

The home was destroyed. A state police fire marshal will look into the cause.
