Attempted Armed Robbery at Grocery Store in Scranton

SCRANTON -- Scranton police are investigating an attempted robbery in the hill section.

Officers tell us a man armed with a knife demanded money from a worker at P & P Oriental Groceries and Gifts on Monroe Avenue around 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The woman behind the counter told the robber no and the man left empty-handed.
