SCRANTON -- Things really heated up in downtown Scranton this weekend.

Around 1,200 people showed up Saturday to the sold-out bonfire festival at the Iron Furnaces on Cedar Avenue.

The festival celebrates autumn while highlighting northeast Pennsylvania's industrial history. It also explores the roots of Halloween in Celtic culture.

In addition to the bonfire, there was also live music and evenĀ fire breathing.
