Always loved Mike Stevens’ stories. Even those are of a bygone era compared to today. Agnes really put a hurt on our area when the rail beds were washed out and it was decided to demolish rather than rebuild. Sad times when some of our greatest engineering and architecture were cast off for cookie cutter faux craftsmanship and we had less options when it came to frugal travel or commerce options. That is the sad truth of our region.
