PLAINS TOWNSHIP -- A special picnic in Luzerne County honored veterans.
The Gino Merli Veterans Center and the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center teamed up to host the event.
Veterans at Sunday's picnic enjoyed food and entertainment at the Plains Township Municipal Pavilion.
