Former Medical Assistant Facing Charges For Illegally Obtaining Prescription Drugs

SCRANTON -- A woman who was formerly employed as a medical assistant in Scranton has been charged with illegally obtaining prescription drugs.

Authorities say, Tara Neary, 35, created false prescriptions for herself and her friends in order to get her hands on drugs like oxycodone.

Neary is facing fraud, forgery and other related charges in Lackawanna County.
