WILKES-BARRE -- And protests in regards to healthcare were not limited to Capitol Hill.

Opponents vow to spend 24 hours picketing the offices of Senator Pat Toomey across the state -- including right here in Wilkes-Barre.

The first group of protesters arrived at the Senator's office around 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

"We're here standing together to show that we are not giving up no matter what. We will be that pain in the neck," said Rose Yanko of Shavertown. "We will always be there at his offices until he cares more about the people, and sees things from our point of view instead of their point of view of billionaires and corporations that have all the health care they need."

Senator Toomey -- a Republican -- was part of the group that helped draft the controversial Senate healthcare bill.

Shady Katie says that Pat Toomey is a bobblehead and she’s the first one in her family to receive a college education (spoiler, she wasn’t)

LOL what a bunch of liberal idiots…so as a 57 year old male with no kids Obamataxcare forces me to pay for child birth, maternity care well child office visits well woman exam..lets face it I’m paying for all kind of women thing, and for kids.
I’m a 57 year old dude, the policy is just for me..SO LIBERALS WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR ALL THAT BS???????
Oh and I also pay $869.00 a month for this less then stellar plan, and before Obamataxcare I only paid $202.00 a month for a plan for me and the wife which was better…..

What does demanding that legislators serve the people and not the wealthiest and corporations have to do with being “liberal”? (as if that somehow is an insult). BTW the ACA does not require you or anybody to pay for a plan with services you don’t want. It just mandates that insurance companies make those essential services available (as well as the pre-existing condition requirement etc). Finally I would invite you to look at rate increase rates pre-ACA as well as the fact that your company previously could drop you legally in an instant if you got sick. The GOP plan brings all that back. Thanks Mr. Toomey!

wow you are stupid..try to buy a plan with out it …..ACA does not require you or anybody to pay for a plan with services you don’t want…….. LOL typical liberal….try some commons sense…

Well Mike — if you are ignorant enough to to buy a plan with “woman exam” (sic), I’m sure you’ll have a great time at your ob-gyn exam!… It is amazing how people vote against their own self-interests.

I doubt Toomey will meet with you in person. He’s too much of a coward plus he’s a snob. He’s looking out for his rich buddies and the corporations. Huge tax breaks for them. This is why you and yours are getting a screw job.
