Former State Treasurer Pleads Guilty After Lying to Federal Investigators

DAUPHIN COUNTY -- Former State Treasurer Barbara Hafer pleaded guilty Friday to lying to federal investigators about her role in a "Pay to Play" scheme.

Hafer was accused last year of concealing more than half a million dollars in consulting fees.

The "Pay to Play" scheme involved the state and a business between 2006 and 2007 when Hafer was already out of office.
