HARRISBURG -- A dozen people and 14 businesses in Pennsylvania have been busted for illegally renting Pennsylvania license plates.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro says the plates were rented in New York City and several other locations.
The fraudulent plates allowed people to avoid paying nearly $2 million in fines and fees for parking, E-ZPass, insurance premiums, and car loans.
