SCRANTON -- Nurses at Geisinger-Community Medical Center in Scranton have finally secured a new contract with the hospital.
Over the past six months, the nurses have been fighting for better staffing and wages.
The new contract approved by nurses on Monday gives them better wages. Plus, Geisinger committed, in writing, to hiring at least 150 new full-time registered nurses over the next two years.

Had to actually crawl out to the smoke hut to even see a nurse during my stay. Finally got there and was told “We are on break”. Complained to Administration and was told “They are union, nothing anyone can do”.
