PITTSTON TOWSHIP -- After 17 years, an air show is returning the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.

It is scheduled August 12 and 13, according to the International Council of Air Shows website.

The last time an air show was held at the airport in Luzerne County was back in 2000.

Finally a great show to take my children to see instead of watching them waste there life on a phone or computer. I had no phone or computer when I was a kid and I am a much better person because of it. I also walked to school in a foot of snow. I am a better person because of it.

I’m sure our local TV media can dig up a port-o-lav / bathroom confusion issue to postpone or cancel the scheduled airshow. If not, leave it to local talk radio host pretend journalist (3to6) to do it if he still has a job there after disappearing for close to 2 weeks. Might be hanging out with Fred, Kevin, Rusty and Joe

This is wonderful! I used to wait all year the see time air show! I remember miss dad taking me as a kid to see the planes. I was very disappointed when it was discontinued. I’m very happy to see its back. I hope it’s a Hugh sucess, although I’m confident it will be!
