Flames Rip House in Wyoming County

LEMON TOWNSHIP -- Fire crews responded to fight flames in a house in Wyoming County.

Flames destroyed the home on Meshoppen Creek Road, north of Tunkhannock after 11 a.m. Monday.

Crews said no one was home when the fire broke out. Two people lived there. Their dog did not make it out.

The Triton Fire Company chief said he believes it started accidentally. A state police fire marshal is investigating.
