HONESDALE — A replacement has been announced for Wayne County Commissioner Jonathan Fritz, who was elected state representative in the 111th District.
Wayne County President Judge Raymond Hamill says he plans to appoint Joseph W. Adams commissioner.
Adams most recently served as superintendent of the Western Wayne School District.
Judge Hamill said Adams was selected from more than two dozen candidates.
Adams is expected to be sworn in as commissioner in January.
