BUTLER TOWNSHIP -- A section of Interstate 81 in Luzerne County was closed Friday afternoon because of a multiple-vehicle crash.
It happened before 1:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-81 near mile marker 153. That's north of the junction with Interstate 80.
Northbound traffic was being detoured at the I-80 exit (151).
The wrecks were cleared from the area by about 2:50 p.m., according to PennDOT's Twitter feed.
There is no word on injuries or the cause. There are reports of snow squalls in the area.
