MONROE COUNTY -- A convicted murderer in the Poconos successfully appealed his death sentence and will now serve the rest of his life behind bars.
Manuel Sepulveda was arrested in 2001 for killing two men from New York at a home near Kresgeville.
Former Governor Tom Corbett signed Sepulveda's execution warrant in 2011.
His attorneys challenged the death sentence, and Monroe County Court agreed, reducing the sentence to life in prison.
