POCONO TOWNSHIP -- A community in the Poconos is celebrating its bicentennial and now has memorabilia of its past under one roof to show for it.

The Pocono Heritage Center opened its doors near Tannersville on Sunday, honoring the 200 of history made in Pocono Township.

"We've had a tremendous amount of community support. We have at least 200-300 people here, all crowded under a tent, although very cold, all here for the same reason, and that's to support the community and to welcome this wonderful project," said Charlie Trapasso of Tannersville.

The event featured tours of the new center, local music, and food provided by local restaurants.
